Description
Get ready for the AP Chemistry exam with a focused 12-week review of the topics that show up most often on test day. Each week targets one high-yield unit, breaking down the key concepts and walking through the problem types you’re most likely to see on both the multiple-choice and free-response sections.
We’ll start with the foundations: atomic structure, electron configurations, periodic trends and how to read photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) data. From there we move into bonding, Lewis structures, VSEPR shapes and intermolecular forces, then cover gas laws and Kinetic Molecular Theory. The middle of the course is a deep dive into equilibrium, including ICE tables, solubility product (Ksp) problems and Le Chatelier’s Principle, before building into acids, bases and buffers: pH/pOH calculations, strong vs. weak acids and bases, titration curves, the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation and percent ionization. We’ll finish with thermochemistry, calorimetry and thermodynamics, including entropy, Gibbs Free Energy and predicting reaction spontaneity.
This course is ideal for students currently taking AP Chemistry who want extra practice, need to fill in gaps, or want a structured review before the exam. Come ready to work through problems; you’ll leave each week with strategies you can use right away.
